The focus of this year’s conference is “Agents of Change”.

Last year Wisconsin School Counselors “answered the call” and this year you have the very important challenge of being the “Agents of Change” in your schools. Your leadership and advocacy are critical to the success of our conference, consider submitting a sectional proposal, attending Afternoon on the Hill or helping out a new counselor sitting next to you! As a community, we look forward to coming together to learn, recharge and support each other.

WSCA once again has several exciting partnerships for the conference:

WSCA understands the critical role school counselors have as leaders and advocates in their schools. To support this work, WSCA has contracted with Colette Dollarhide, a national expert on school counselor leadership to provide a full day pre-conference on the topic. The morning will be dedicated to school counselors and in the afternoon WSCA is inviting school administrators to attend with counselors to learn how to effectively leverage school counselors as leaders.

WSCA has been working closely with DPI and will be hosting an ACP Leadership half day pre-conference. This will be paired with a targeted ACP career development half day pre-conference. Check out the conference website for more details.

Many thanks to Great Lakes for expanding the Conference Scholarship! WSCA can offer 50 scholarships for new high school counselors and ACP coordinators.

WSCA leadership has a team of Coordinators that are working diligently to support counselors across Wisconsin through professional development, advocacy, and networking. Coordinators, along with the Board of Directors look forward to seeing you at this year’s conference. Please connect with us during the conference; we would love to hear from you.

Thank you for your dedication and work on the behalf of students.
