Option 1:
Creative Solution-Focused and Strength-Based Applications in School Settings
This workshop will provide professional school counselors and school counseling graduate students an overview of the Solution-Focused approach and its practical applications in K-12 schools.  Participants will learn how to use 35 creative Solution-Focused and strengths-based activities designed for children and adolescents in school settings.  In addition, participants will learn how to utilize the Solution-Focused approach in a variety of school settings such as classrooms, counseling sessions, small group settings, parent meetings, teacher consultation, and RtI meetings.  A demonstration of how to conduct solution-focused meetings will be provided.  Participants will also examine solution-focused assessment tools to collect data from students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
